This puzzle uses the storyline snippets from the Octopus feed and the Queen songs from the Tuna feed.
The storyline snippets are all descriptions of Stephen King books with a single letter changed.
Each of the book titles shares a word with a Queen song title. The song snippets are of unique lengths from one to eight seconds, which gives an ordering.
Original King Title | Changed Word | Changed Letter | Notes | Queen Song | Length | Next Word |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
The Running Man | Nunning | N | 1 | The Invisible Man | 1 | SEE |
The Wind Through the Keyhole | Wine | E | 6 | Ride the Wild Wind | 2 | ENOUGH |
Eyes of the Dragon | Exes | X | 3 | Dragon Attack | 3 | WHITE |
Under the Dome | Tome | T | 1 | Under Pressure | 4 | INSANITY |
Firestarter | Wire | W | 10 | Put Out The Fire | 5 | DISAPPOINTED |
It | Io | O | 2 | Was It All Worth It | 6 | DANDY |
Fairy Tale | Tare | R | 4 | The Fairy Feller’s Mask | 7 | TICKLING |
Gerald’s Game | Dame | D | 6 | Play The Game | 8 | CIGARETTE |
When the changed King letters are placed in Queen song length order it yields the message NEXT WORD.
This clues identifying the next word in each Queen song snippet.
If you then index into the word by the number of notes from the King post, you find the answer: SHIITAKE.
