Pair up the answers so that when one word supplies a letter to another, and each set of letters is then anagrammed, a two-word phrase is made. In this puzzle, all of the phrases are foods; for example, with the two words CALMER APPEAL, the word APPEAL can supply an A to CALMER. CALMER+A anagrams to CARAMEL, and APPEAL-A anagrams to APPLE. The patterns of blanks in each row are unique, which gives the order for the foods.
